3x Papaver orientale “Picotee” White/Orange – Bare-rooted

We cannot wait. The end of spring can’t come soon enough. That is when the Papaver orientale (oriental poppy) “Picotee” makes its entrance. Fringed, cream-coloured flowers with orange accents, surrounding a dark centre that really pops. You will receive the Papaver orientale “Picotee” as bare-root stock in sugar cane sacking. This is more environmentally friendly than plastic nursery pots. The roots are shipped fresh from the ground. They are already one year old. This gives them additional strength, enabling them to grow faster than they would in a nursery pot. Plants grown from bare-root stock also adapt to their new environment more easily. They flower better and they are more economical. Bare-root stock plants grow when it becomes warmer. They are winter-hardy perennials. They can be planted at any time, provided that the ground is not frozen. They will begin blooming at the end of spring. Short but strong. The oriental poppy “Picotee” should be planted in full sun so that it blooms to its full potential. They can also be planted in flower pots on a patio, roof terrace or balcony. Or just plant them separately around the garden. The poppy only needs water during prolonged dry spells.
