Dwarf bulrush Typha minima brown – Marsh plant

It’s ideal for small ponds! The lesser bulrush (Typha minimua) is the smallest bulrush. The wetland plant is known for its long, brown, cigar-shaped flower spikes. The bulrush is just 5cm long when it is planted. By the end of the summer, it will have grown to around 50cm! We maintain a planting depth of 40 cm for the marsh plant. The water plant also does well under water. Plant the lesser bulrush in the spring. The flower blossoms in the summer.
We prune the plant slightly to shape it with a pruning shear. We remove old leaves and dirt. To encourage good growth, we add minerals to the pond water and ensure that the water’s hardness level (pH value and calcium to magnesium ratio) is maintained. Put the plant in full sun or partial shade.
