Marigold Caltha palustris yellow – Marsh plant waterside plant

A yellow wetland plant. It adds a cheerful touch to our pond. The yellow marsh marigold (Caltha palustris) starts showing off its golden yellow colours in early spring. The aquatic plant is a waterside and marsh plant. We can plant the plant along the edge (bank) of our pond. Or we can plant the plant up to 40 cm deep in the pond. We can plant the marigold all year round. The flower blooms in the spring.
We prune the plant slightly to shape it with a pruning shear. We remove old leaves and dirt. To encourage good growth, we add minerals to the pond water and ensure that the water’s hardness level (pH value and calcium to magnesium ratio) is maintained. Plant the marigold in a sunny spot.
