Rubber plant Ficus elastica ‘Melany’ on stem

We are big fans! The rubber tree ‘Melany’ (Ficus Elastica) looks fantastic in the living room. The dark stem and leaves exude confidence. The red blades that protrude between the leaves add an elegant twist. The plant is hardy; although temperatures of 18-23 degrees are ideal, dry air or colder environments should not be a problem. Always keep the potting soil moist, without letting the roots stand in water. The plant does like light, but not strong, midday sunshine.
